How does your kitchen make you feel?

Transform your cooking space into a clutter-free and organised kitchen with my expert insights.

Do you enter your kitchen at any time of the day and feel despondent?

Kitchens are very often the proverbial ‘dumping ground’!

In many homes as soon as we walk in the door we head for the kitchen. It’s probably for a number of reasons:

We very likely have shopping bags in our hands! We have an armful of ‘stuff’ brought in from the car such as clothes, school work or work equipment let alone keys or a wet umbrella!

You may get up first thing in the morning and be greeted with a disorganised kitchen and struggle to find what you need to make a nice cuppa and a healthy bite to start your day.

Need more worktop space?

Do you feel that whatever you do you can’t make enough space to work in?

So many everyday items are left out on the counters, that do actually need to be, such as kettles and toasters. Looking around my kitchen right now I have chopping boards, tea, coffee and sugar cannisters, a bowl of onions and a knife block just for starters, but how many other things are out that could just be put away, or actually don’t belong there in the first place?

Overflowing drawers?

Are your drawers overflowing with non sensical gadgets that you thought would be life changing when you bought them but have never used!?

If someone knows that you do like to cook Christmas stockings are often filled with small gadgets!

Perhaps you found yourself watching a demonstration of the latest ‘thing’ and mesmerised by what the ‘expert’ manages to turn out! You are convinced you need one even though you know that you are a dab hand with a kitchen knife and could do just as well with that!

Fit to bursting food cupboards?

Perhaps your food cupboards are fit to bursting but you gaze into them wondering what on earth to cook.

Many of us go shopping without a list or any notion of what we are going to eat over the next couple of days let alone the coming week.

Not knowing what is in your fridge let alone your food cupboards or what you need creates the potential for buying items that you already have, or that won’t actually be of much use without other key items.

Testimonial

I always blamed my messy kitchen on poor design and lack of storage, but after 3 hours with Pauline I could see my counter tops for the first time in years and even had an empty cupboard!

I would never have tackled my kitchen on my own. It just seemed too big a job but with Pauline’s gentle encouragement and handy tips I now have a functional organised kitchen.
